Now the window operated normally from both the passenger's side button and the driver's side button. Mission accomplished. I chalked it up to a fluke.To reset the drivers power window, its something like (from vague memory): Turn ignition on (engine off), hold window switch in the ‘down’ position, continuously till the window is all the way down. Then release. And I think then its done. If not, its vice versa. No idea about the passenger window not working.The switch can be opened (carefully, to not lose the springy parts inside), to examine the electrical contacts and the button linkage (to identify why it had that weird feeling). The motor has brushes and a commutator, and either could be worn out/damaged, or a winding in the motor might be open circuit, or shorted..
